Fantasy art scenes are usually handled with a liberal sprinkling of Photoshop plug-in fairy dust – but you don’t have to slavishly follow that route. By creating your own brushes in Adobe Illustrator, and using scanned elements with Photoshop, it’s a simple process to create otherworldly scenes that are alive with glow effects and shafts of virtual light.

While the Mark II has seen a number of subtle changes to its design (more on these later) there’s very little - if any - difference in feel when you hold the camera. Like it’s predecessor, the Mark II is heavier than a typical cropped sensor camera, due to its larger body. Because of its full frame sensor, the Mark II requires a large mirror chamber and prism design, and this equates to a physically larger, heavier camera.

October 7th marked the seventh anniversary of US and allied troops in Afghanistan. Four weeks after September 11th, 2001, troops were sent into the nation in retaliation for the attack and on a mission to find Osama Bin Laden and root out Taliban soldiers.

When the photography world first came across the idea of candid portaiture - making informal shots of people who were not aware of being photographed or at least not posing for the camera – it was a Big Thing. This was because up to then, portraiture called for large studio cameras wound up with cranks, fancy studios with painted backgrounds and - you can guess - big bucks for the privilege.
