ProShow Producer 4.0 release

Photodex Corporation today announced the release of ProShow Producer 4.0, the all-new generation of its award-winning photo and video slide show software for professionals. ProShow Producer 4.0 has powerful new features that streamline workflow and offer a broader range of creative possibilities. As the industry’s leading professional slide show software, ProShow Producer outputs to over 40 formats including DVD, Blu-ray and Flash.

ProShow Producer 4.0 makes creating advanced special effects simple and hassle-free with the new Slide Styles feature. Slide Styles are pre-made effects that can be easily applied to any slide in a show. ProShow Producer 4.0 comes with over 75 pre-made Slide Styles ranging from camera flashes to more advanced multi-layer montages. Each Style can be previewed and then easily applied to an image or set of images for an instant effect.

Users can create and save their own Styles, allowing them to set up custom libraries for specific show types like weddings, sports events or portrait sessions. Slide Styles can change the way professionals use Producer to create shows for clients by cutting production time and providing a more polished and professional-looking result. Talented experts can now produce extremely sophisticated effects that all ProShow users can use.

Additional creative features in ProShow Producer 4.0 include the ability to add Adjustment Layers to any slide in a show. Adjustment layers can be used to create dramatic, non-destructive changes to all layers below them, making effects like a moving spotlight or a soft image filter effortless. Editing keyframes is also made easier thanks to the all new multi-track Keyframe Editor that displays a larger layout for precise control over keyframes. Users can now blur any photo or video using the new Blur tool; essential for creating professional backgrounds, montages and effects.


ProShow Producer 4.0 also comes equipped with Notes and Layer Names, new features that help users organize and catalogue certain elements in their slide shows. Notes appear as small icons in the Slide List and are best used to describe how a certain slide effect was achieved, while Layer Names allow users to apply custom names to each layer in a slide to keep them more organized.
