The R Strap

The R-STRAP offers unparalled ease of access to your camera. R-STRAP is the most innovative camera strap that ever hit the market. One of the most annoying pieces of equipment in photography – lowly camera strap – has been now significantly improved. R-STRAP means a faster and more effective way for carrying your digital SLR. Instead of looping around your neck, the R-Strap operates like a sling, sliding across your body.

The R-STRAP is worn diagonally across the torso from shoulder to hip and is adjustable to fit most photographers. The pad has a mesh underside for comfort and breath ability. A locking mechanism connects the R-STRAP to the tripod socket located on either the camera body or the lens. Once connected, the camera rests securely in the small of your back, with the lens pointing behind you. If you see something you want to shoot, just grab the camera and pull it to your face. The camera will smoothly glide upward the strap - as it were riding a zip line – and come to your face within seconds. With the camera behind your back, you can maneuver easily through a crowd, carry a tripod or other gear, or simply have both hands free. Solitary photographers like sports, press and wedding photographers will also appreciate the integrated pockets for storing memory cards.
Wolfgang-Peter Geller, professional photographer and owner of California Sunbounce, is very excited about the R-STRAP „I can not tell how much I hate camera straps. They’re uncomfortable, there’s no good way to wear them. Put the strap around your neck and the camera flops around awkwardly on your chest as you move. Your long lenses stick out and bump into things. Bending down, you have to clutch your camera. Wear it over your shoulder and it’s hard to quickly and securely bring the camera to your face.”
