Leica has published the suggested retail prices for its new Leica S-System and confirmed October 2009 as the first month for UK availability. The S-System, which sits at the very top end of the digital photography spectrum, will be offered at a very competitive starting price of £15,996 (SRP, body only).

The Leica S-System has been well documented since its launch at Photokina in 2008, and now the release of pricing and availability information brings the world’s high end photo community another important step closer to one of the most significant photo developments in the digital era.

Firmware Version 1.0.7 incorporates the following changes.

1. Corrects a phenomenon where captured images may tend to appear somewhat magenta depending on the shooting scene.

Kenro has announced the UK release of a new range of wireless transmitter and receiver kits designed to trigger studio lighting flash heads.

These new additions to Kenro’s wide range of photographic equipment feature either mains or battery powered units. Each system comes with a radio signal transmitter and receiver that offer effective triggering of flash heads up to distances of 30m. The kits consist of a sender module which operates from a camera hot shoe or synch cable. They are available in four channel or eight channel kits.
