“We first started with VSO Image Resizer as a simple tool toresize and convert images between different formats.Then we added the watermark feature, the possibility to add a border to the picture and supported new formats.

With this new version, we target the ever-growing digital frame market” explains Fabrice Meuwissen, Executive manager of VSO Software.

The new feature is a “transfer assistant” to automatically resize and load your pictures on a digital frame.

Before loading the photo, simply open the “transfer assistant” in the program, and select the screen resolution of your frame. An integrated search engine enables you to find out the technical specifications of your frame if necessary.

Once you’ve plugged your digital frame into your PC, VSO Image Resizer will use the info tagged with the transfer assistant, and load the selected pictures onto the frame in one click. The space saved by the resizing enables you to put more pictures on your frame and ensure the best quality by resizing them to the right aspect ratio!

This automatic transfer feature also comes with a bonus: an easy, state of the art method to optimize the display of the pictures on the frame. This embedded seam carving technology is a smart “content aware” resizing method to keep the full content of an existing picture without distorting the image. No more disturbing black bars or unflattering stretching of pictures to fill in the frame!

Whether you want to compress, convert, create copies, import, edit or organize a single picture or a whole batch, Image Resizer will do the job in one click.


The software has a free version that comes with a pop up window. The pop up is removed with the purchase of the full version. It is also distributed with some digital frames manufacturers.
