The world’s most reliable portable flash has been upgraded, allowing photographers superior creative control on-the-go. The famed AcuteB portable flash generator now comes with a choice of either a Lithium Ion Iron Phosphate battery or a Lead Acid battery, Air Sync and improved internal electronics. Profoto is chosen by more than 80% of photographers worldwide and is a staple in professional studios and rental houses. It’s the legendary quality of Profoto.
The New Lithium Ion Iron Phosphate battery has higher stored energy and gives faster recycling time with less weight. Profoto uses special, dedicated LiFePO4 batteries with integrated electronics that ensure an optimal performance. The state-of-the-art battery technology prolongs battery life more than 4 times and gives an extended amount of flashes with up to 200 flashes on maximum and more than 12,000 flashes on lowest power. The recycling time has been shortened and is now between 0.08 to 2.0 sec. The AcuteB2 600 AirS can be used while charging.
This is Profoto’s smallest generator, measuring only 19x19x13 cm (7,5×7,5×5 in) including the handle. This compact size allows a full setup of camera, pack with flash-head and modifiers to easily fit into a back-pack. The weight of the complete unit with li-battery is only 3,6 kg (8 lb).
The battery is licensed to travel and has been tested and certified according to UN manual of Test & Criteria, Part III, Sub-section 38,3. Depending on country regulations, you’re allowed to take the generator with you on the plane.
The AcuteB2 600 AirS, has been implemented with the reliable radio slave system: Profoto Air Sync. It can be triggered at a distance of up to 300 meters (1000 ft.) with an ultra-short delay, making it possible to use fastest sync times. Air Sync uses the same frequency all over the world, covering 8 separate channels. Optional Pocket Wizard receiver is available.
Flexibility of the world’s best Light Shaping System
At the heart of Profoto lies the Light Shaping System. Over 120 light modifiers allow unprecedented creative control. All AcuteB and Acute/D4 Heads used with the AcuteB2 600 AirS generator are fully compatible with all the modifiers.
